ActOne Group CEO Among Twin County Community Pride Hall of Fame Inductees

Twin County Community Pride will induct 10 people from Nash and Edgecombe counties into its 15th Twin County Hall of Fame class. A banquet for the new inductees will take place on Nov. 9 at the Rocky Mount Event Center. Rocky Mount Councilwoman Chris Miller, who is a past president of Twin County Community Pride, said the 2018 class includes seven men and five women, with six of the inductees are living and six will be inducted posthumously. The class includes Dr. Robert Barbe and the Rev. Carolyn Barbe, Dr. Newsom Pittman Battle and Dr. Margaret White Battle, James Erastus Batts, Dr. Charles Marshall Coats, Janice Beavon Gravely, Lt. Col. James Mercer, Robert “Bob” Melton, Betsy B. Strandberg, Samuel A. Toler and Janice Bryant Howroyd.
